Arts Walk!

Twice a year, Olympia hosts a wonderful event called Arts Walk. Arts Walk allows local artists to display their artwork throughout the city. Arts Walk also has live performances and many vendors, and great food! It is a nice time for a chunk of Olympia to come together and view the creativity of others.  

Besides the art-  There is an luminary parade on friday night- which commences with some fire dancing and drum beating in front of the glistening Capitol lake. Also, there is the procession of the species, which is a parade made up of various elements of the earth, and people from all over who are dressed up like the different elements such as, wind, water, fire, and earth. It is an awesome and interesting experience full of creativity, imagination, and individuality. It is by far, one of the things that makes Olympia unique.
